Kahu Malama Nurses is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join the staff at our corporate office in the Ala Moana area of Honolulu.  This is a full time, permanent position with a complete benefits package.

Minimum requirements:
– Prefer experience and/or education in human resources
– Medical background/knowledge preferred
– Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to work with electronic documents

– Scheduling interviews with applicants
– Performing reference checks
– Maintaining electronic employee records to keep credentials updated
– Compiling orientation packet materials
– Answering phones and greeting applicants at front desk

Staffing Coordinator

Kahu Malama Nurses has a new opportunity for a full time Staffing Coordinator to work at our corporate office in the Ala Moana area of Honolulu.

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Flexible availability to include day, evening, weekend and holiday shifts
  • Pleasant phone skills
  • Computer skills
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a staffing or customer service environment
  • Familiarity with job classifications of nursing and other healthcare professionals preferred

Duties:

  • Match employee qualifications and availability to the needs of our clients which include hospitals, long term care facilities and private duty patients
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with nursing staff and become familiar with their preferences, availability and areas of experience
  • Quickly respond to any scheduling problems that arise during assigned shift
  • Communicate pertinent information with other staff members regarding employees and clients
  • Assist clients with any concerns that may arise with an employee
  • Input new job orders from clients
  • Follow up with an employee and client following the completion of first day on an assignment

Administrative Assistant

Kahu Malama Nurses is looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to work at our corporate office in the Ala Moana area of Honolulu. The company is busy staffing agency in the healthcare industry and has been serving Hawaii for 35 years. We need a versatile employee who is capable of communicating with and supporting company executives as well other administrative employees, field staff and clients across the state.

The person in this role will also provide backup support for various departments in our office including Human Resources, Staffing and Accounting. The ideal candidate is someone who is capable of working in either a team atmosphere or independently, able to take direction from supervisors and flexible to adjust to changing priorities.

Administrative tasks will include:

  • Pre-screening job candidates and scheduling appointments
  • Entering candidates in database
  • Conducting background screenings and background checks
  • Credentialing employees for job assignments
  • Posting job openings on job boards, websites and social media
  • Document creation and editing
  • Document copying, scanning, faxing, mailing and filing
  • Scheduling, planning and organizing special projects assignments with clients and staff
  • Supporting the Staffing Department as needed with scheduling, phone coverage or other duties
  • Receptionist duties for breaks or vacation coverage

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in an office setting
  • College degree preferred
  • Previous experience in Human Resources
  • Previous experience or knowledge of the healthcare industry highly desirable
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, organize and multi-task daily
  • Knowledge and experience with various social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter)

Skills

  • PC software skills including knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to quickly learn other software programs relevant to the position
  • Excellent oral and verbal communication skills plus organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to perform work with speed and accuracy
  • Must be highly dependable with ability to work schedule as assigned
